6th Sep - Still superb clarity on each lake here. Main Lake free of any weed problems; Wood Lodge Pool been fishing brilliantly well in recent weeks.
Millhouse Lake was weedcut 19th Aug, fishing well to buzzers now.
Sedge hatches providing some really exciting rises last couple of hours, otherwise, damsels and buzzers forming best part of the diet.
Wood Lodge offers best prospect of a fish on warm days. Carpark end of Main Lake reliable to dry fly, fish often coming short though.
In the 6 days to 5th Sept, 87 lake rainbows were recorded on catch returns.
11lb 5oz rainbow for Fred Elliott, size 14 GRHE; 11lb 0oz rainbow for Marcus Courtney (1st Aug) from Wood Lodge Pool, to a Blue Flash Damsel; 9lb rainbow for Aaron Snell (1st Aug) to a Cats Whisker; 8lb rainbow for Paul Walker (27th Aug) Sunk Grey Wulff. From returns received, Albury waters produced a fish catch total of 294 in the 6 days to 5th September.
