After river keeping on the River Test he graduated from Sparsholt College with distinction in Fisheries Management before running Rockbourne Fishery in Hampshire for ten years. He is a professional fly tyer as well as a fly casting and fly tying instructor (STANIC & NAC Grade 1). He is responsible for the day to day running of Albury’s four waters, Weston, Powder Mills, Vale End and Park Syndicate. Richard King and Tim Williams, Trout Farms

Richard managed a trout fishery before reading Fish Farming and Fisheries Management at Sparsholt. His wide experience of fish farming includes producing carp and tilapia in Israel and running Portugal’s largest ornamental fish farm before returning to England. He has since increased production from the estate’s two trout farms to in excess of 40 tonnes of fish per year.   Tim has a wide range of aquatic experience, from Sea Bass and Sea Bream farming in Greece to Ornamental Cyprinids in Portugal.  He has spent time working with Salmon and at the sharp end of the industry with Halibut, Turbot and Cod in Scotland. Tim had a spell maintaining the lakes and rivers around Albury to an excellent standard before moving to an intensive Trout farm in Dorset.

Andrew Allen and Julian Pharoah , Syon Park

An ex Guards drill and weapons instructor, Andrew caught his first trout whilst travelling in the mountains of Australia. After gaining full time experience in forestry, deer stalking, game and river keeping in Scotland and the South of England he graduated from Sparsholt College in Game, Wildlife, Habitat Management and Conservation with distinction winning the Richard Seymour Cup for Fisheries Management. He is also a STANIC & REFFIS qualified Casting Instructor. Andrew is ably assisted by experienced local angler Julian Pharoah who manages the fishery on his holidays and days off.

Peter Cockwill, Albury Game Angling

Peter is a life long fly fisher who has one of the few shops which are fly only.  He has run a syndicate fishery for 23 years and is a recognised authority on the sport.   A regular feature writer for Trout Fisherman and many other periodicals, he also arranges and escorts foreign fishing holidays.  Books, TV work, fishery committees, club presentations and charity work keep him busy.   His skills as an instructor and his wealth of experience make the shop an invaluable asset to the Albury complex.
